Box Score Virginia Union University's Lady Walker scored 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead the Lady Panthers to a 97-52 win over 15th-ranked Benedict College on Saturday, November 12, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Walker was joined in double-figures with four other players.  VUU's Kasha Austin scored 13 points while teammate Brittany Jackson scored 11 points.

Virginia Union's Alexis Johnson and Jacelyn Denkins scored 10 points apiece.

VUU's Rejoice Spivey dished out a team-high eight assists in the win.

The win gave the Lady Panthers a 1-0 record while Benedict fell to 0-1.

Virginia Union continues the season-opening home stand when the Lady Panthers meet Mount Olive University at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
