Kiana Johnson scored 43 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 92-63 win over Shaw University on Thursday, January 7, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
Johnson's 43 points was one point shy of the school record of 44 points, set by Marqueetta Randolph in 1995.Â
Johnson also had 10 assists to go along with her scoring output.
The win also marked the first time a Lady Panther squad had beaten Shaw since February 1, 2000, a span of 29 games.

Lady Walker had 10 rebounds of her own.
The win raised VUU's record to 9-1 overall and 1-1 in the CIAA. Â The nine wins equals the entire win total from 2014-15. Â Shaw University is now 10-5 overall and 1-2 in CIAA play.
The Lady Panthers now face Fayetteville State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
