Virginia Union University's men's tennis team recorded it's first twos win of the 2015 season when the Panthers defeated Johnson C. Smith University 5-4 and 5-4 in a double-header held on Saturday, March 21, at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.
VUU's
Anthony Michael won his match at #1 singles while
Jarvis Rideaux won at #2 singles.
Virginia Union's
Kareem Burrows won at #4 singles while the doubles team of Michael/Rideaux won 8-3.
VUU secured the win when the doubles team of Burrows and
Michael Smith won 8-5.
The second game was a carbon-copy of the first, with the same VUU players sweeping their individual matches.
VUU now faces CIAA rival Virginia State University at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.
