Virginia Union University's Ellie Parsons won a set, but Chowan University defeated the Lady Panthers 9-0 in women's tennis on Tuesday, March 17, at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.

Parson lost her match 6-0, 6-0, and then her and teammate Logan Reid lost their doubles match 8-1.

Reid and Lynda Kaneza both lost 6-0, 6-0 while Christionne Taylor and Tiyanna Johnson lost 6-0, 6-0.

VUU's Thyisha Hicks lost her match 6-0, 6-0.

The doubles team of Kaneza and Taylor lost 8-0 while the team of Hicks and Johnson lost 8-0.

Virginia Union now hosts the VUU Tennis Round-Up on March 21 and 22 at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.
