Lady Walker became the first Lady Panther player in over 15 years to grab 20 or more rebounds in a single game as VUU defeated Chowan University 81-75 on Saturday, February 21, in Murfreesboro, Va.
Walker had 20 rebounds to go with 14 points as the Lady Panthers captured fifth place in the Northern Division of the CIAA.
The last Lady Panther player to collect 20 or more rebounds in a single game was LaToya Daniels, who grabbed 21 boards against Virginia State University on January 22, 2000.

Ashle Freeman went 13-for-13 from the free throw line en route to scoring a game-high 24 points.

Trylanda Jennings also scored 14 points for the Lady Panthers.

Taylor White scored 10 points in the win.
The win gave the Lady Panthers a final regular-season record of 8-17 overall and 4-12 in the CIAA. Â Chowan fell to 13-13 overall and 9-7 in the CIAA.
VUU's win, coupled with Bowie State University's loss to Elizabeth City State University, secured fifth-place in the CIAA Northern Division. Â The Lady Panthers will begin CIAA Tournament play on Tuesday, February 24, at a time to be determined in the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C.
