Box Score Virginia Union University's Ashle Freeman scored 28 points, but Elizabeth City State University defeated the Lady Panthers 59-58 in overtime on Wednesday, February 18, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Freeman hit 10 of 21 shots from the field.

VUU's Lady Walker had 16 rebounds, the most for a Lady Panther player since Denesha Tatum had 17 rebounds against Elizabeth City State on February 19, 2014.

Virginia Union's Taylor White had 11 rebounds in the game.

The Lady Panthers also saluted the team's three seniors, Freeman, ShaHadah Barrett and Lydia Evans.

The loss dropped VUU to 7-16 overall and 3-11 in the CIAA.  Elizabeth City State is now 11-13 overall and 6-9 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union wraps up the 2014-15 home season when the Lady Panthers meet Virginia State University at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
