Virginia Union scored 42 points in the paint in the game, compared to 33 for Lincoln.
The Lady Panthers suffered from stone cold free-throw shooting, however, hitting just nine of 25 from the charity stripe in the contest.
Virginia Union's largest lead came early in the game. Â Barrett took a layup to the hoop to give the Lady Panthers an 8-3 lead with 15:41 left in the first half, but Lincoln's Courtney Smith answered with a three-pointer to wipe out the lead.
VUU and Lincoln fought tooth-and-nail throughout the second half, but Dancy sank two free throws to give the Lady Panthers a 59-54 lead with 5:42 left to play.
Lincoln, however, went on a 13-2 lead behind layups by Imani Clark and Zephrah Pam to secure the 67-61 win.
The loss dropped VUU to 7-15 overall and 3-10 in CIAA play. Â Lincoln is now 18-6 overall and 10-4 in the CIAA.
The Lady Panthers now return home to face Virginia State University at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 15, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
