Box Score Virginia Union University's Taylor White scored a career-high 17 points, but Johnson C. Smith University defeated the Lady Panthers on a buzzer-beater 70-68 on Monday, January 5, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Lady Walker scored 15 points while teammate Jasmin Dancy added 12 points.  Walker and Dancy also led the Lady Panthers in rebounds with seven boards apiece.

Virginia Union's ShaHadah Barrett had a team-high seven assists while also scoring 10 points.

The loss dropped VUU to 4-7 overall and 0-2 in the CIAA.  Johnson C. Smith is now 12-1 overall and 2-0 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Raleigh, N.C., to face Shaw University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8.
