Box Score Virginia Union University's
Ashle Freeman scored 22 points and became the all-time leading scorer in VUU women's basketball history as the Lady Panthers defeated Saint Augustine's Univiersity 95-82 on Monday, January 12, in Raleigh, N.C.
Freeman now has 1,569 points, surpassing the previous record of 1,564 points set by Marquietta Randolph.
Virginia Union's
Lady Walker also tied the school-record with seven blocks in the game. Â Shawanda Geter is the only other Lady Panthers to have achieved the feat, with seven blocks against Elizabeth City State University on January 27, 2007.
VUU had six Lady Panthers reach double-figure scoring, and two players had double-doubles, in rebounding and points.
Walker had 20 points and 11 rebounds to go with her record-setting defensive night.

ShaHadah Barrett had 16 points and 10 rebounds of her own in the win.

Sydney Howard totalled 11 points apiece while teammate
Taylor White tallied 10 points.
The win raised VUU's record to 5-9 overall and 1-4 in the CIAA. Â Saint Augustine's dropped to 8-6 overall and 2-3 in CIAA play.
The Lady Panthers now travel to Ettrick, Va., to meet Virginia State University at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17.Â
