Virginia Union University's #1 doubles team of Kiara Miller and Ellie Parsons pulled off an 8-6 win, but Bowie State University edged the Lady Panthers 5-4 in women's tennis on Friday, March 14, at Battery park in Richmond, Va.

Parsons also won her singles match 7-5, 6-1.

VUU's Katrina Joe downed her opponent at #3 singles 6-0, 6-4 and teammate Deja Shabazz won at #4 singles 6-1, 6-2.

Virginia Union now hosts the VUU Round-Up, to be March 15-16 at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.  Play begins at 9 a.m. both days.
