Virginia Union University's Michael Anthony won his #1 doubles 6-1, 6-1 over Daniil Lyalko of Randolph College, but that was the only win of the day as the Panthers were defeated 8-1 on Saturday, March 8, in Lynchburg, Va.

VUU's Jarvis Rideau lost 6-1, 6-1 while teammate Jaymes Berry lost 6-0, 6-3.

Virginia Union's Charles Sheets lost 6-2, 6-0 and Kareem Burrows lost 6-0, 6-0.

VUU's Terrence Malone lost his singles match 6-0, 6-3.

VUU also lost all three doubles matches.

Virginia Union now faces Southern Virginia University at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.
