Box Score Virginia Union University's Franky Johnson scored 15 points, but Morehouse College defeated the Panthers 70-66 on the first day of the CIAA/SIAC Challenge, held on Friday, December 5, in Charlotte, N.C.

Johnson came off the bench and connected on 4-of-7 shots from the field, including three three-pointers.

VUU's D'Andre Bullard scored 14 points while teammate Avery Jirmnson added 12 points.

Virginia Union's Robert Valentine rounded out the double-figure scoring with 10 points.

Bullard also led the Panthers with seven rebounds.

The loss evened VUU's record at 4-4 on the season while Morehouse is now 2-3.

The Panthers will now face Tuskegee University at 1:30 p.m. on the second day of the CIAA/SIAC Challenge on Saturday, December 6, in Charlotte, N.C.
