Box Score Virginia Union University's Ashle Freeman and Lady Walker scored 16 points apiece, but Division I Coppin State University defeated the Lady Panthers 68-54 on Saturday, November 29, in Baltimore, Md.

Freeman and Walker both hit seven shots from the field while Freeman hit two three-pointers and Walker grabbed eight rebounds.

VUU's ShaHadah Barrett dished off 10 assists in the game.

The loss broke a three-game winning streak for the Lady Panthers and dropped VUU to 3-2 on the season.

Coppin State is now 1-4.

The Lady Panthers now travel to Morrow, Ga., to compete in the Clayton State University Classic.  VUU will face host Clayton State at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, and then will play the University of North Georgia at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6.
