Box Score Virginia Union University's Avery Jirmnson scored 22 points and dished off six assists to lead the Panthers to a 116-57 win over Virginia University at Lynchburg on Tuesday, November 25, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

The 116 points were the most by a VUU team since the Panthers defeated Kutztown Univesity 120-88 in 1990.

VUU's D'Andre Bullard scored 17 points while freshman teammate Robert Valentine scored 14 points.

Virginia Union's Colton Lewis scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds.  VUU's Franky Johnson and Robert Hurui scored 10 points apiece.

The win raised VUU's record to 3-2 while Virginia University at Lynchburg dropped to 2-5.

Virginia Union now travels to Charleston, W.V., to face the University of Charleston at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30.
