Box Score Virginia Union University's Avery Jirmnson scored 22 points, but Notre Dame College defeated VUU 112-99 on the second day of the Earl Lloyd Classic, held on Sunday, November 16, in Institute, W.V.

Jirmnson hit 9-of-13 shots from the field in the game.

VUU's Robert Valentine and Ray Anderson scored 19 points apiece for the Panthers while Ronald Whaley added 17 points of his own.

Virginia Union's Colton Lewis led the Panthers on the boards with 11 rebounds.

The loss evened VUU's record at 1-1 while Notre Dame is now 2-0.

The Panthers return home to face Alderson-Broaddus University at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19 in Barco-Stevens Hall.
