Kristina Caldwell slugged two home runs and VUU hit seven homers on the day to sweep Washington Adventist University 15-1 and 13-1 on Wednesday, April 3, in Takoma Park, Md.
Caldwell was joined in the show of power by
Shireese Borden,
Tyana Daniels,
Renesha Chiles, Shermando Fambro and
Shakia Mackey.
On the day, the Lady Panthers pounded out 18 hits in the first game and 17 more in the night-cap.
Caldwell and Fambro drove in four runs in each game.
VUU's
Quincy Lewis picked up both wins.
The wins raised VUU's record to 9-6.
The Lady Panthers now return home to face Elizabeth City State University in a double-header at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, at the VUU Softball Field in Richmond, Va.
