Virginia Union University's women's tennis team lost to Chowan University 9-0 at Battery Park in Richmond, Va., on Monday, April 1.

VUU's Deja Shabazz was the only Lady Panther to capture a set win, but lost her match 4-6, 6-1, 10-5.

VUU's Kiara Miller lost 6-0 , 6-1 while teammate Ellie Parsons lost 6-2, 6-0.

Virginia Union 's Katrina Joe lost 6-1, 6-0 and DeJamine Byrson lost 6-1, 6-0.

VUU also lost the three double matches.

The Lady Panthers now travel to Lincoln University, Pa., to meet the Lady Lions of Lincoln (Pa.) on Thursday, April 4.
