The Virginia Union University men's tennis team was defeated by Chowan Univeristy 9-0 in a CIAA match played at Battery Park in Richmond, Va., on Monday, April 1.

VUU's Jarius Rideau lost 6-0, 6-0 while teammate Jaymes Berry lost 6-0, 6-3.

Virginia Union's Terrance Malone lost 6-1, 6-2 and Charles Sheets lost 7-5, 6-4.

VUU's David Taylor lost 6-1, 6-0.

Virginia Union also lost the three doubles match-ups.

VUU now travels to Lincoln University, Pa., to face Lincoln University on Thursday, April 4.
