Box Score Virginia Union University's Shireese Borden stole three bases, but Saint Augustine's University defeated VUU 2-1 in the semi-finals of the CIAA Softball Tournament on Friday, April 19, at the Petersburg Sports Complex in Petersburg, Va.

VUU's Quincy Lewis struck out three and allowed seven hits in the game.

Borden had a steal of home, but Kristina Caldwell was the only Lady Panther to get a hit off of Saint Augustine's Hanna Stutts, who struck out seven and walked none over seven innnings of work.

The loss gave VUU a final 2013 record of 15-10, the most wins for a Lady Panther softball team since 1988.
