Virginia Union University's Charles Sheets won his singles match 6-1, 6-3, but that proved to be the lone win for the Panthers as they lost to Chowan University 8-1 on Monday, April 16, in Murfreesboro, N.C.

VUU's James Rideau lost his match 2-6, 7-5, 10-4 while teammate Jaymes Berry lost 6-0, 6-0.

Virginia Union's Terrence Malone lost his match 6-2, 6-1 and David Taylor lost 6-0, 6-0.

Chowan also took all three of the doubles matches.

VUU now plays Winston-Salem State University in the 2013 regular season finale at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17.
