Virginia Union University's women's tennis team swept CIAA Northern Division rival 9-0 at Battery Park in Richmond, Va., on Monday, March 4.

VUU's Kiara Miller defeated Lincoln's Shari Davis 6-0, 6-0 while teammate Ellie Parsons swept Sharmain Henderson 6-0, 6-0.

Virginia Union's Katrina Joe downed Lincoln's Haley Hendricks 6-0, 6-0 and VUU's April George beat Urszala Koczkodaj 6-2, 6-3.

Union's DeJamine Byrson defeated Tyisha Massey 6-0, 6-1 and Ernisa McLendon downed Monie Fisher 6-0, 6-0.

VUU also swept all three of the doubles matches for the 9-0 win.

Union is now 2-4 on the season and 2-1 in CIAA play.

The Lady Panthers now travel to Lincoln University, Pa., to compete in the CIAA Round-Up on March 15-17.
