Virginia Union University's Ellie Parsons won her singles match 8-3, but Randolph College was able to hang on to defeat the Lady Panthers 5-4 on Wednesday, February 20, in Lynchburg, Va.

VUU's Ernisa McClendon won her singles match 8-6.

The doubles team of Parsons and Kiara Miller won their match 8-2 while the team of April George/Katrina Joe won 9-8.

The Lady Panthers are now 0-2 on the season.

VUU travels to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State University at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24.
