Box Score Virginia Union University's Melyse Brown scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 52-45 win over Lincoln (Pa.) University on Saturday, February 16, in Lincoln University, Pa.

Brown connected on 8-of-18 shots from the field and, along with Danielle Ferguson, pulled down a team-high seven rebounds in the win.

The win also insured that the Lady Panthers will finish no lower than second place in the Northern Division of the CIAA.

VUU's Ashle Freeman added 15 points while ShaHadah Barret scored 10 points for the Lady Panthers.

Lincoln was led by Zephrah Pam and Tahlar McIntosh, who scored 11 points apiece.  Pam also had 13 rebounds.

The win raised VUU's record to 12-11 overall and 9-5 in CIAA play.  Lincoln fell to 8-16 overall and 4-10 in the CIAA.

The Lady Panthers now return home to Barco-Stevens Hall for the regular-season home finale when they take on Elizabeth City State University at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20.
