Virginia Union University's Ashle Freeman led all scorers with 30 points as the led the Lady Panthers to a 64-55 win over East Stroudsburg University on Saturday, December 14, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall.

Freeman scored 19 of her points in the first half, and connected on 11 of 23 field goals, including four three-pointers.

VUU's Jasmin Dancy and Melyse Brown scored 10 points apiece for the Lady Panthers while ShaHadah Barrett dished off a team-high 10 assists.

The win raised Virginia Union's record to 3-4 on the season while East Stroudsburg fell to 3-5.

VUU now travels to Winston-Salem, NC, to face Winston-Salem State University at 5:30 p.m. on January 2.
