Box Score Virginia Union University's Ray Anderson lead the Panthers in scoring with 15 points, but VUU was defeated by #9 University of Southern Indiana 102-80 on the second day of the Holiday Inn Southwest Classic, held at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday, December 14.

Anderson was joined in double-figure scoring by Avery Jirmnson, who scored 14 points, and Omar Briggs, Ken Pankey and Chadwick Church, who each added 11 points for VUU in the game.

The loss dropped VUU to 1-7 on the season.  Southern Indiana is now 7-0.

Virginia Union now travels to Brooklyn, NY, to face CIAA rival Virginia State University in the 2013 Big Apple Classic, to be played at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, in Barclay's Arena.
