Box Score Virginia Union University and Tuskegee University had not faced each other in men's basketball since 1947, and the 2013 game took an overtime period was needed to decide the first game between the two in 66 years.  

Tuskegee outscored VUU 18-10 in the overtime period to defeat the Panthers 102-94 on Friday, November 8, in the opening round of the Double Header Classic in Atlanta, Ga.

It was the season-opener for both teams.

VUU's Ray Anderson scored a game-high 32 points while teammate Omar Briggs grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the game.

Virginia Union's Chadwick Chuch scored 19 points for VUU in the game.

VUU's Ken Pankey scored 13 points while Avery Jirmnson added 10 points in the game.

Tuskegee was led in scoring by Javier McKinney's 16 points.

Virginia Union now faces host Morehouse College at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, in Atlanta, Ga.
