Box Score Virginia Union University's Melyse Brown scored 15 points, but Winston-Salem State University was able to come away with a 61-50 win over the Lady Panthers on Tuesday, November 19, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Brown hit five of 13 shots from the field while also pulling down a team-high 12 rebounds in the game.

VUU's Ashle Freeman scored 10 points for the Lady Panthers.

The game was a non-conference match-up between the two CIAA teams.

The loss dropped Virginia Union to 1-3 on the season while Winston-Salem State is now 2-2.

Virginia Union now travels to Baltimore, Md., to face Coppin State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30.
