Lady Panthers Roll Over Lincoln 61-50

Box Score Virginia Union University's Ashle Freeman scored a career-high 34 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 60-51 win over Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, January 26, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

The 34-point effort was the second consecutive game where Freeman has scored 30 or more points, a feat not done by a Lady Panther in more than 20 years.

Freeman went 12-for-22 from the field and 10-for-13 from the free throw line.  In all, Freeman accounted for more than half of the Lady Panthers point production.

VUU's Parress Davis also pulled down 12 rebounds in the win.

Lincoln was led by Courtney Lucas' 12 points.

The win raised VUU's record to 8-10 overall and 5-4 in the CIAA.  The loss dropped Lincoln to 7-12 overall and 3-6 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Elizabeth City, N.C., to face Elizabeth City State University at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30.
