Box Score Virginia Union University's Ashle Freeman and Melyse Brown scored 16 points apiece to lead the Lady Panthers to a 60-51 win over Saint Augustine's University on Monday, January 14, in Emery Gym in Raleigh, N.C.

VUU's Carla Cowherd added 12 points and led the Lady Panthers with 11 rebounds in the win.

Virginia Union's Parress Davis also scored 10 points in the win.

Saint Augustine's was led by Jeanne-Marie Wilson's 12 points.

The win raised VUU's record to 6-8 overall and 3-3 in the CIAA.  Saint Augustine's dropped to 7-8 overall and 3-3 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19.
