Virginia Union University's Kristina Caldwell had two hits, but Bowie State University swept the Lady Panthers 9-0 and 7-3 in a softball double-header on Friday, March 23, in Bowie, Md.

Caldwell also scored a run while teammate Renisha Chiles scored twice.

The losses dropped VUU to 5-18 overall and 4-4 in CIAA play.

The softball double-header between Virginia Union and Lincoln University, scheduled for Saturday, March 24, was rained out.  The Lady Panthers return to action on Tuesday, March 27, when they face Rappahannock Community College in a double-header beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Field in Richmond, Va.
