Virginia Union University's women's tennis team staged their home opener by taking on Norfolk State University on Tuesday, March 20, at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.

The Lady Panthers lost to the Lady Spartans 7-2.

VUU's Kiara Miller lost 6-1, 6-1 while Ellie Parsons lost 6-2, 6-2.  Katrina Joe lost 6-0, 6-1 and April George lost 6-1, 6-1.  VUU's DeJamine Byrson lost 6-0, 6-0.

VUU's two wins came by default.

The Lady Panthers now travel to Petersburg, Va., to compete in the Virginia State University Round-Up I on Friday, March 23 at Virginia State University.
