Virginia Union University's Quincey Lewis pitched two complete games, but Mount Olive College swept the Lady Panthers in softball 10-2 and 8-0 on Saturday, February 25, in Mount Olive, N.C.
Lewis struck out two in the first game, and only allowed five earned runs. VUU's
Kristina Caldwell slammed a double while also stealing a base.
Lewis also gave up five earned runs in the nightcap while VUU's Shakia Macker slugged a double.
The losses dropped VUU to 1-8 on the season while Mount Olive raised it's record to 10-2.
Virginia Union now returns home to face Washington Adventist University in a double-header on Wednesday, February 29, at Parker Field in Richmond, Va. Game one begins at 2:00 p.m.
