Box Score Virginia Union University's Vicki Collier scored 24 points to lead the Lady Panthers to an 82-73 overtime win over Elizabeth City State University on Thursday, February 23, in Elizabeth City, N.C., to earn the championship of the Northern Division of the CIAA.

It marks the first Divisional Title for the Lady Panthers since 2003, a span of nine years.

VUU trailed by seven points with less than three minutes to play before Lady Panthers went on a 9-2 run, culminating with a layup by Collier with 10 seconds left in regulation.

VUU scored the first 10 points in the overtime period and never looked back.

VUU's Valentina Wheeler scored 21 points for the Lady Panthers while Ferguson and Ashle Freeman added 15 points apiece in the win.

Elizabeth City State was led by Stephanie Harper's 21 points.

VUU finishes the regular season with a 12-13 record overall and 9-7 in the CIAA.

Elizabeth City State fell to 13-13 overall and 7-9 in the CIAA.
