Box Score Virginia Union University's Vicki Collier scored 15 points, but Chowan University outlasted VUU 59-54 on Monday, February 13, in Murfreesboro, N.C. 

Collier went 6-of-9 from the field while freshman teammate Ashle Freeman added 10 points and five steals for the Lady Panthers.

VUU's Melyse Brown led the Lady Panthers with nine rebounds.

Chowan was paced by Ransheda Jennings' 18 points and Summer Curtis' 11 rebounds.

The loss drops VUU to 9-13 overall on the season and 6-7 in CIAA play.  VUU is now 4-3 in Northern Division play and is tied with Virginia State University for second in the Northern Division.

Chowan is now 10-15 overall and 5-10 in CIAA play.

VUU now returns home to Barco-Stevens Hall to face Lincoln University at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, in Richmond, Va.
