Box Score Virginia Union University's Ashle Freeman scored 15 points while teammate Parress Davis added 14, but West Liberty withstood a Lady Panther comeback to hang on to 71-66 win over VUU on Saturday, November 10, in Glenville, W.Va.

Four Lady Panthers scored in double-figures, including ShaHadah Barrett with 11 points and Danielle Ferguson with 10 points.

VUU's Melyse Brown pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds in the game.

Virginia Union out-rebounded West Liberty 44-43 and put up 77 shots.  

The loss dropped VUU to 0-2 on the season while West Liberty evened it's record to 1-1.

VUU now travels to Williamsburg, Va., to face The College of William & Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14.
