Virginia Union University's Valeria Cantu homered on a day when VUU honored the five seniors on the 2011 softball team, Kara Scott, Cantu, Alisha Johnson, Danielle Brown and Kendra Martell.

Despite Cantu's heroics, Lincoln (Pa.) University was able to sweep the Lady Panthers 8-5 and 16-9.

In the first game, errors haunted VUU as the Lady Panthers allowed eight runs on 11 miscues, but Reneisha Chiles tripled in two runs to lead a Virginia Union comeback.  VUU would hit three triples in the game.

In the nightcap, Chiles had three hits while Shakia Mackey and Kara Scott drove in two runs apiece.

The losses gave VUU a 9-18 record overall and 7-15 in CIAA play.  Lincoln is now 5-15 overall and 5-9 in the CIAA.

VUU now travels to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State University on April 12.
