Virginia Union University's Valentina Wheeler led VUU with nine points, but Elizabeth City State University downed the Lady Panthers 54-39 on February 3 in Elizabeth City, N.C.

VUU's Yuvonna Stevens led the Lady Panthers with eight rebounds while teammate Micayla Ricks added six points in the game.

Elizabeth City State was led by Shaquella Johnson's 10 points and Tiffany Gadsden's eight rebounds.

The loss drops VUU to 1-16 overall and 1-9 in CIAA play.  ECSU is now 15-7 overall and 8-4 in the CIAA.

VUU now returns home to Barco-Stevens Hall to face Saint Paul's College on February 10.
