Virginia Union University's Leslie Slayton scored a career-high 19 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 49-40 win over Lincoln University in Lincoln University, Pa., on February 19.

Slayton hit five of 10 shots from the field while teammate Tiffany Clarke grabbed seven rebounds.

The win was the third of the season for the Lady Panthers and the first win away from Barco-Stevens Hall.

Lincoln University was led by DeJuana Moseley's 15 points and eight rebounds.

The win raised VUU's record to 3-20 overall and 3-13 in CIAA play.  Lincoln fell to 3-21 overall and 1-15 in the CIAA.

VUU now travels to Bowie, Md., to face Bowie State University on February 21.
