Box Score Virginia Union University's Damion Harris scored 17 points while Wesley Simmons added 13 as VUU rolled to a 67-54 win over Virginia State University in the Big Apple Classic in Madison Square Garden in New York City.

It was the 22nd straight time the Panthers had defeated the Trojans, a streak which ranges back 10 years.

VUU's Juan Wilson and Jamaal Blalock had 10 points apiece in the win while Simmons grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

It was also the CIAA opener for both teams.

VUU is now 4-3 overall and 1-0 in CIAA play.  Virginia State dropped to 1-7 overall and 0-1 in the CIAA.

VUU now travels to Buckhannon, W.V., to face West Virginia Wesleyan College on Tuesday, December 6.
