Virginia Union University's Valentina Wheeler led the Lady Panthers with 22 points, but Fayetteville State University stopped VUU 76-63 on January 20 in Fayetteville, N.C.

Wheeler hit eight of 23 shots from the floor while also pulling down six rebounds.

VUU's Leslie Slayton scored 12 points and dished out a team-high three assists.

VUU's Gabrielle Easley and Alaura Jones also had six rebounds in the game.

Fayetteville State was led in scoring by LaQuasha Jordan's 21 points.

VUU is now 0-12 on the season and 0-5 in CIAA play.

Fayetteville State is now 4-10 overall and 3-3 in the CIAA.

VUU now travels to Lawrenceville, Va., to meet Saint Paul's College on January 24.
