Virginia Union University's women's basketball team placed four players in double-figures, but the University of the District of Columbia stopped the Lady Panthers 70-64 in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va., on December 11.
VUU was led by
Kara Scott's 16 points while Leslie Slayton scored 13 points. VUU's
Yuvonna Stevens scored 10 points and had seven rebounds while
Valentina Wheeler reached double-figures with 10 points.
UDC was led by Jamilia Bonner's 30 points and Lillian McGill's 17 rebounds.
The loss drops VUU to 0-5 on the season while UDC is now 6-3.
VUU now travels to Caldwell, N.J., to face Caldwell College on December 17.
