Virginia Union University's Kara Scott scored a game-high 20 points while Alaura Jones pulled down eight rebounds, but Glenville State College downed the Lady Panthers 102-70 in the season-opening game in the CIAA-WVIAC Challenge on November 12 in Elizabeth City, N.C.

VUU's Yuvonna Stevens and Jones added 10 points and Leslie Slayton had nine assists.

Glenville State was paced by Kenyell Goodson's 17 points.

The loss drops VUU to 0-1 on the season while Glenville State is 1-0.

Virginia Union faces West Virginia State University on November 13 on the second day of the CIAA-WVIAC Challenge.  The game will be streamed live at www.vuusports.com.
