Micayala Ricks led the Lady Panthers

Sophomore Teaunsha Robinson scored a game-high of 16 points to lead Bowie State to a 50-44 division win over the Virginia Union University Lady Panthers (6-13, 3-10 CIAA, 1-4 in the East). 
 
            Bowie State (11-9 overall, 10-3 CIAA 4-1 in the East) held a four point halftime advantage (22-18) on seven-of-22 field goal shooting. Virginia Union began the second half with an 8-2 run until Danita Hill stopped the run with a break away lay-up. 
 
            Micayala Ricks led Va. Union with 11 points, along with Tonaye Smith adding 11 points and Samantha Traynham with nine points respectively.
 
             Va. Union will continue with home games on Thursday, February 7th against Johnson C. Smith followed by a Monday, February 9th contest against Virginia State at the Siegel Center.
