Lady Panthers fight to the end but come up nine points short against Lady Bears of Shaw University. The game was close the whole time with a ending score of 45-54.

 

At halftime the score was 25-27 Shaw. Union came out with a fighting desire having their largest lead by 4 points, until Shaw went on a 10–2 run the last five minutes of the game.

 

The score was tie 9 times and had 13 lead changes. The Lady Panthers end the game shooting 60% at the free throw line. 

Union Tonaye Smith was the only player in double figures with 19 points.

Lady Panther's next game will be on the road to Livingstone University on January 29, 2009.
