RICHMOND, VA – Virginia Union University shutout Saint Paul's College 9-0 in Match 1 of a doubleheader. In the doubles competition, VUU's top seeded pair Emanuel Sekeyere and Gil Hernandez defeated SPC's combo of Devalos and Morris 8-1. At the end of the doubles competition, the Panthers had upped their match advantage 3-0.
The Panthers went on to win each of the singles matches as well. VUU's #2 Gil Hernandez and #5 James McLean both held their opponents scoreless (8-0) in singles competition.
