Katchona Johnson Scores Her 1,000th Career Point
RICHMOND, VA – Katchona Johnson scored her 1,000th career point in an 87-53 loss to Shaw University. Johnson poured in a team-high 15 points in the outing, while adding 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Her 15 points brings her career total to 1,005 points with 8 games left to play in the regular season. She is the 11th player in the history of Virginia Union's women's basketball program to score 1,000 points. The 2007-08 Pre-Season All-CIAA selection is currently averaging 14.8 points per game and 7.5 rebounds pre game.
