Virginia Union University Head Golf Coach
E. Lee Coble has been selected to serve on the
NCAA Division II Golf Committee, earning one of the nation's most prestigious leadership appointments in collegiate golf.
The NCAA Division II Golf Committee is responsible for administering and overseeing NCAA Division II men's and women's golf championships while helping uphold the Association's standards for championship administration, governance and competitive excellence.
As a member of the committee, Coble will work alongside fellow representatives from across the country to support the NCAA's mission and values by participating in committee meetings and conference calls, maintaining the highest ethical standards, protecting the integrity of the championship process, and serving as an advocate for NCAA Division II while representing the interests of the Association as a whole.
"I am excited about my upcoming appointment to the NCAA Division II Golf Committee," said Coble. "I will continue to represent the CIAA Conference to the best of my ability, and I truly appreciate the faith and confidence that has been placed in me to represent the CIAA Golf Committee."
Committee members are expected to regularly participate in meetings, disclose any conflicts of interest, maintain confidentiality when appropriate, support committee decisions, and advance the NCAA's mission, traditions, values and reputation.
Coble's appointment reflects the respect he has earned throughout collegiate golf and provides both Virginia Union University and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) with representation at the national level as the NCAA continues to shape the future of Division II golf championships.
His selection also highlights Virginia Union University's growing presence in NCAA governance, with Panther coaches and administrators continuing to serve in influential leadership roles throughout intercollegiate athletics.
