The Virginia Union University basketball teams will begin play in the 2026 CIAA Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, February 24, in Baltimore, Md.

The VUU women's basketball team will enter the tournament as the #3 seed in the Northern Division and will face Johnson C. Smith University (#6 seed in the Southern Division) at 4:30 p.m. On Tuesday, February 24, at CFG Bank Arena.

The Virginia Union men's basketball team will begin play as the #2 seed in the Northern Division and will face the winner of #3S Johnson C. Smith University-#6N Elizabeth City State University at 8:00 p.m. On Thursday, February 26.

Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
