Powell averaged 173 across all games and earned a special recognition for her impressive high game of 232. Coach James Washington Reflects on the Weekend
Head Coach James Washington expressed pride in his team's resilience and improvement. "The girls bowled really well this weekend. We just need to figure out a way to win against Bowie State," Coach Washington shared. "What I was most proud of was how they responded in the match against Virginia State. We were down by 40 pins going into the last game of baker, and after a team meeting before the game, the ladies came out with their best baker game of the day—a 213—and won the match by 40 pins. This shows me their capabilities when they stay focused."
