The HBCU meet was a great success for both the women's and men's teams. Everyone achieved personal records (PRs).  The ladies placed 4th overall, marking the first time in school history that they finished in the top five at the HBCU Classic.

Here's a breakdown of time improvements from the athletes:

Summary of Improvements in the 4th Meet:
•     Abijah Jepkemboi: Improved by 40.4 seconds compared to her first meet.
•     Toni Middlebrooks: Improved by 1:34.93 from the 3rd meet.
•     Tatyanna Love: Improved by 1:37.18 from the 3rd meet.
•     JaiLyn Johnson: Improved by 1:10.8 from the 2nd meet.
•     Alexus Dilliard: Improved by 1:47.55 from the 3rd meet.

HBCU Meet Individual Results:

•     Abijah Jepkemboi: 19:45.4 (8th place)
•     Toni Middlebrooks: 20:01.0 (11th place)
•     Tatyanna Love: 22:41.1 (29th place)
•     JaiLyn Johnson: 24:12.1 (43rd place)
•     Alexus Dilliard: 26:53.5 (49th place)

The VUU Cross-Country Teams will now travel to compete in the VSU Trojan Invite at 4:00 p.m. On Friday, October 11, in Petersburg, Va.
